Wema lives in Dar Es Salaam, which is the financial and Industrial Capital of Tanzania, its old city is full of historical buildings.  Wema is currently doing her A-level in Economics, Accounts and Commerce, it is her intention to study Accounts and Financial studies at University and continue with her Masters in Commerce with the option in financial management and get her qualification in the ACCA. 

 

During her vacation time she is a counsellor in HIV/Aids to secondary school students.  She enjoys singing and dancing to the traditional songs of her country, and is a good football and basket ball player.  Other interests are: Swimming, volleyball, reading novels, listening and dancing to R & B, Hip hop & Zouk music and belly dancing.  Favourite food is Indian Chapati with spicy chicken curry.  Personal motto is:  Excellence and Commitment with a Purpose”.

The pre-event favourite Jokate Mwegelo from Temeke finished second, Lisa Johnson from the Lake Zone settled for the third position.

Sara Kangezi from the Eastern Zone was fourth as Irene Uwoya was fifth.

 

Contestants who made it to the top ten were Christabella Peter, Sophia Kapama, Innocencia Charles, Jacqueline Msofe and Anitha Mlay.

The first runner-up took home 6m/- second runner-up, third and fourth got 3.5m/, 2m/-and 1.5m/-. The other five out of the top ten were given 1m/- each while the rest of contestants got 500,000/- each.

 

There were other titles as well. The Citizens Award and Redd’s Fashion ambassador were both won by Jokate and Miss Photogenic award was won by Wema.
